Thanks so much for your review, and for your kind words. I agree with everything you said here, including that some of us work long hours at times. Like you said, I think that comes with the territory - we're a group of passionate people working to build something amazing! That being said, we're always talking about how to encourage time off and spread the workload so that we can avoid burnout. I suspect this will be an ongoing conversation as we grow, figure out what works for us, and adjust.
Synex Medical is unlike any other company I have worked for - from an ambition perspective Synex is positioning itself to change the world and I am so excited to apart of the team defining the future of predictive healthcare.
The team at Synex is passionate and driven with a strong mission focus.
Ben and Andressa have done a phenomenal job building a small company that feels like a robust larger company but at a tiny scale.
Compensation and benefits are good - for a company of this size.
Cons
With a company this size (sub 50 people at time of review) - growing pains are inevitable - and one of our daily conversations is about who need to bring on next to make significant progress towards our mission. What may be Synex's largest con is that we need the best employees in the world to build revolutionary technology but its hard to bring on the volume of talent we need as a small Canadian startup.

I agree - our biggest challenge is finding people with the right combination of niche skills to help us reach our goals.
So glad you're with us on this journey!
I have worked for several different tech companies by now and the positive things I find unique about Synex are:
- novel technology that could change peoples lives
- peaceful culture and company morals
- working with competent doers and thinkers
- flexible working hours and remote working
- if you need something buy it
Cons
Nothing negative to say here! However, as we are a startup and still growing, you really need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and helping with anything and everything to help keep the company moving forward.
