Pros

Working at Systems is great! I've met so many new people and have had so many experiences I wouldn't have had otherwise! It's rewarding work and you get to leave work every day feeling like you made a difference.

Cons

I am on call 24/7. They tell you that isn't the job, but it's reality if you're a Supported Living Supervisor.

A challenging but fun and rewarding work environment

Pros

You get to work with a variety of individuals and learn a lot about intellectual disabilities. You work in a supportive work environment. PTO packages are very good. Many times it did not feel like work due to the fun opportunities.

Cons

Compensation is somewhat standard for the field if not on the lower side. You do not make a living wage as a Vocational Instructor by itself, you need at least one more source of income. The job can get repetitive as well as physically/mentally taxing.

it's a fulfilling job to have and the other people you work with can be nice. the clients are fun to interact with.

Cons

the work can be emotionally draining. for that the pay is too low. constant changes in rules makes management inconsistent.
