Pros

The HR person is the most competent, smart human I have ever encountered. Her advice in my career has been invaluable. The head of the company needs to pay her more to keep her on! I love my job and she has been instrumental in it

Cons

Need higher pay for employees

Pros

The mission is outstanding, nice coworkers and staff, great benefits, and accrued PTO. They also appreciate self starters and positive outlooks. (They love smiles.)

Cons

There is some gossip. So stay away from that and stay in your own lane, and concentrate on your job and task at hand. You will be will be fine.

Pros

TAPS' mission is incredible. I am able to support those grieving the loss of a military and veteran loved one. I have had opportunities to assist survivors in ways that I would never imagined would be possible. Honestly, my job at TAPS fills my soul. TAPS management has guided me and continues to support me so I can support survivors. As an example, TAPS walks the walks - years ago they changed their bereavement leave policy to 10 days when most companies were still offering 2-3 days, this has personally supported me. TAPS has an employee committee and offers a Wellness Wednesday session as well as they offer staff, who have had a loss, the opportunity to meet with their peers on company time to help each other with their grief. Not sure many companies would care so fully for their staff as TAPS does. TAPS is a family and families have differences, but it is a family that cares and supports one another. Each person stays or leaves a company based on their own experiences. In my opinion, a company can't fix what they don't know. I am sorry they felt this way, when my experience and many of my fellow employee feel working for TAPS is an honor.

Cons

Working with grieving people can bring up feelings of personal grief.
