The owner is walking a fine line of greed and doing what needs to be done. He's a very smart guy, but I'm reasonably sure he's on the spectrum. He'll give old hardware to customers, and when things fail more often than not the techs are required to clean up messes that wouldn't exist had he paid market prices for good equipment and software. Techs are paid very poorly - I was making less than $20 in the DC area and I was paid better than most of the techs, who were almost all more knowledgable than me.
