They told us to be quiet

Pros

I guess I have a job and thats better than people that don't have jobs at all

Cons

We just had an all-team meeting about our negative Glassdoor reviews in which the company told us NOT to post reviews online and that IF WE DO it will hurt our friends and colleagues. They didn't even address the issues, just made sure we don't talk about it out loud. I'm legitimately scared. I am so tired and overworked.

Pros

At the lower level, you will probably never work with a better team of people. TDI seems to attract highly capable individuals with interesting backgrounds and great senses of humor, who are a genuine pleasure to work with.

Cons

You will have NO life outside of this job. Plus, even if everyone were working 40-45 hr workweeks, the pay is so low, especially for DC. Because this has been a vocalized issue for years and remains unchanged, it seems upper management doesn't care. In fact, it feels intentional. The plan seems to be (1) hire a lot of overqualified young people (2) underpay them (3) overwork them until burnout (4) rinse and repeat. Seems like upper management prefers this approach as it's cheaper than retaining and appropriately compensating employees. Everyone is stressed out of their minds, working weekends, working late into the night, etc. When you calculate the hours worked in relation to compensation, you are paid close to minimum wage.

We have received your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts. Without specific details, it would be impossible to comment further on your individual situation, however, we welcome a confidential discussion. In the meantime, while I do not know your circumstances, I believe there are some benefits you may have overlooked. For example, we launched a new professional development benefits program at the start of the year that was widely publicized to all employees via email and through our monthly internal newsletter. We also have a quarterly review structure intended to enhance communication, ensure employees are on the right professional track, and address any issues that may arise. Most companies in our field do this on an annual basis, which we feel is not enough to capture appropriate feedback and provide the relevant assistance. Again, please do feel free to reach out to us. You may contact careers@tdinternational.com to speak with our HR manager.
