      Company Goes Through Accountants Like Am*z*n Goes Through Warehouse Workers

      Pros

      -it’s a job, not a career due to cons, see below. -can work from home if you fight for it. Everybody is given a different WFH policy though.

      Cons

      -I’m the 3rd person to leave this position in the last 15 months -extreme staff shortages. open positions are not filled for a minimum 4 months at a time and you will be asked to pick up the open positions tasks. -no cross training, resulting in no coverage to take vacation time -wages are not competitive -cannot afford health insurance offered - no perks, no discounts, no fringe benefits to speak of -corporate headquarters are in a highly industrial area. cannot walk/bus/bike to work because of this. -don’t have Diversity Equity Inclusion committee or initiatives. -no conference rooms to have a training/meeting or take a private phone call. -you have to pay for your own standing desk, space heater, foot rest etc -I would have put this in an employee satisfaction survey but they don’t have one and have no plans for implementing one. I asked HR.

We value work/life balance and offer flexible work schedules in many of our corporate departments. Your insight regarding recent the staffing shortages is accurate. Our company is experiencing dynamic growth and our accounting team is continuing to expand as well. Recruiting talent is, and will continue to be, our top priority. TEC began launching employee pulse surveys a few months ago which provided valuable and actionable feedback. We plan to launch the survey to all employees in the future. We recently updated our exit survey to ensure that all employees exiting TEC voluntarily have the chance to provide feedback upon their departure. I hope you received the exit survey and will provide your input.

      Decent company, limited by lack of vision, focus on results above teamwork

      Pros

      Pay is good, quick to get things done and being proactive is generally rewarded. Many top leaders are caring and do a good job.

      Cons

      Issues mostly come from leaders not being concerned with degrading comments and negativity. Few truly toxic troublemakers across org made significant performance loses but majority of good folks due to fear and lack trust created by negativity. Example 1 Several negative folks made comments that their behavior would get them fired at other companies but due to their performance they could do away with anything. I haven't heard as many degrading comments since middle school. Example 2 Leader bragged about making others cry which was cheered by others. Pay is good, though other benefits are very poor Vision is not clear and culture not unified, very siloed
