Pros
Pros Creative team is flexible, smart and fun. They work together well, and there is not a large barrier between them and the rest of the office. Overall - super cool guys and gals. Laid back atmosphere where you can get work done (as long as you're not bothered) Location is off of the beaten path which can be a plus. You don't have to worry about the hustle of the city
Cons
Cons Where do you want me to start! Unorganized , unprofessional, unethical, immoral. They've been in business apparently for 30 years but they don't have anything to show for it! Ultimately they don't give you the tools to succeed! Their "clients" see them more as a somewhat useful tool to use when called upon, and not like an agency (be prepared to have to do answer to people who don't understand the creative process). Technically they are a vendor and not an agency just an FYI. It's really hard to see how they are still in business. I saw so many people leave in such a short period of time it made my head spin. A company this size went through more turnover in less than 1 year that I've seen at huge shops I've worked at. The owner(s) are basically receiving hands on training as they go. One minute you could be working on something, and then the next it could totally fall to the waste basket. Don't be surprised if you turn into an admin doing simple MS office stuff either! (nothing against admins, but if you sign up for a certain position, then you would want to work in that position am I correct?) The creatives and the other department teams had to sometimes explain simple creative "JV" info to the powers that be - I can't make this stuff up. It's the blind leading you in some cases! They let the client run the show without any regret or regard to the quality of their work. You could have a totally terrible idea (but with the right intentions) and instead of telling the client.....educating the client......or working with the client to see better more creative (or smarter for them options)......they run with it. The creatives pull their hair out because of the back and forth. If you like working for corporate clients that have an attitude of "do it because I said so" instead of "help my make cool, creative awesome stuff that will look beautiful" ....well, then this is your place. Also people are leaving in droves. People get fed up and find better opportunities. Listen to your gut on this one.....I wish I did. O yea, the benefits are terrible.Show Less Advice to Management Let your team do what they have worked their lives to do. You have talented people there with great ideas. If they don't get to use them, they will find somewhere that they can. I did and I am a lot better now because of it.
