Pros
It used to be a great place to work. Amazing for entry level positions. Unfortunately, in the last year or so, most supervisors have quitted because of Montreal's top management and HR. Which left most teams with unqualified supervisors. Really high turnover rate for a less than 5 years company. -Helpful employees willing to help. -Christmas party and 1 summer BBQ. -Used to be a good entry level position, you could learn a lot. -Complete medical and life insurance.
Cons
-Extremely low salary and vacations plan, no personal or sick days. No room for growth, your salary may move 2-3% per year on April-May. -Unqualified management. Top management in Montreal is the main issue (Micromanaging and Monopoly of power). Some departments have managers that lack the experience/education for the job, which results in confusion and disorganization. -Toxic culture that leads to disgruntled employees. The rules don’t apply for everyone. -Racism, Discrimination, wrongful termination of contract (has several ongoing investigations from CNEST about it). -Too much overtime. Some months you will have weeks of +50 hours, weekends too (also during holidays like Saint Jean Baptiste and Christmas). It is “compulsory” overtime, meaning if you don t do it, they will ask why and start to treat you differently. -School like environment, Top management will micromanage everything you do, some supervisors will too (Clothes, arrival/departure time, lunch time, etc). -Lack of flexibility, if you are 10 minutes late even after working more than 45-50 hours, you will get in trouble (Management watches and records the time you come in everyday) -Management cares more about the time you arrive and the compulsory overtime than the quality of your job.
