Pros

Met a few great co-workers only to find out that we all hated our jobs and all were working around the clock.

Cons

TNG is what I consider to be a very Toxic job as a District Supervisor. They do not give raises unless they give all DS's a raise which don't really make a difference on a paycheck. If your lucky it only happens about every 5 years. Nothing is based on years of experience or quality of work each individual does. I was employed with TNG over 13 years and made the same money the last DS started 3 weeks prior was making. There is no Work / Life balance. They expect a DS to work 24/7 to get the job done. Most DM's act like drill sergeants and will talk to you like crap. As for the part time merchandisers, they can't ever expect an increase but are required to drive from store to store daily and print all materials needed at their expense. Therefore after their $9/$10 per hour the end up making about $7 if they are lucky.

Pros

Job is very visual so it is very satisfying when you complete a project. Also, the different people you meet and work with are fun.

Cons

There are quite a few. 1. HIGH stress level and no work/life balance. 2. Unqualified Upper Management who runs the Division like a High School Popularity Contest. Blatant favoritism over knowledge and work ethic. 3. Lack of training at all levels; especially new mgmt. (Even though there is a person with the title Regional Trainer) 4. No communication on upcoming projects anymore; they just show up on people's schedules 5. Days of service being changed with no notice; one week they are Tuesday and the next they are Friday. 6. Territories are way too big to effectively manage; are constantly growing and changing. No compensation except a gas card. They change based on who cannot get the work done so others get punished with more work; but all Supervisors make the same pay. 7. As a salary Supervisor, you can be ordered to go help in other areas; even if you have open work in your own. 8. If a Supervisor position becomes open, they force you to run it for months with no extra compensation. 9. Merchandiser pay is not competitive; very few if any raises given to them. 10. Supervisor pay never changes; no raises or bonus programs for performance 11. Cutting out of Supervisors to add Market Assistants who cannot do the same level of work; very ineffective. 12. "911" emergencies all the time. This goes back to the lack of communication and structure of "aces in their places"
