      No respect for America or its work force

      Pros

      Lots of good people work there that are friendly and nice. They are willing to help lend a hand when needed. It is a large and diverse workforce.

      Cons

      This is a subsidiary of the Tokyo OHKA Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Japan. The Japanese president rules the company and gives preferential treatment to the employees that are transferred from there. The Japanese employees talk to each other in their native language during meetings so the rest of the people at the meeting will not know what they are saying. In 2013 a Japanese manager who was chairman of the Christmas party decided the theme would be Hawaiian and the party was held on Pearl Harbor day. I bet they all thought that was pretty funny. There is little or no respect for the USA and the American employees who make the company profitable.

      At least, you have a job.

      Cons

      This company was clearly divided three. With a few exceptions, top management was occupied by Japanese from TOK Japan, who demonstrated poor management and communication. Middle management was occupied by expat Japanese who was not good enough to be employed by American companies. Worker class was occupied by the ordinary Americans (Whites, Blacks, Latinos, and Asians). Ironically, this company was able to be sustained day to day operations because of this ordinary American, not Japanese). But the question is how long they could sustain it.

      TOK President Who Is Insuffecient

      Pros

      Kind line workers. Air conditioned buildings, lots of good parking. No new products to worry about. Learning japanese language by hearing it spoken behind my back and seeing the tongues wag.

      Cons

      Ineffective president level management. No new products for our one major customer (90% of the business). Layoffs, no profit share, a push for ideas that can be taken credit for by the top level techs and foreign management.
