Pros

Great teammates Good learning and development program Flexibility to work anywhere (UCx is awesome!)

Cons

I was originally hired by DSCI, and for several years it was a truly great place to work. I was surrounded by people who were enthusiastic about their work and got stuff done. Then we were acquired by TelePacific in 2016 (the combined company later rebranded to TPx). They assured us nothing would change, and that they in fact wanted to be more like us. Fast forward to 2019: my local office was a ghost town because all of the management that had been located there either left or were let go, and most of the remaining people started working from home. All but two of my teammates were on the west coast, so I was on conference calls all the time where nothing substantial got done... a far cry from the DSCI days. I went through four managers in three years. The CEO holds weekly "results calls" where he regularly belittles the meeting participants and talks about how crappy things are going. It's no wonder that when I gave my notice, several of my coworkers told me they too were considering leaving. TPx ruined what had been a perfectly good company.

Pros

Some good people work here, knowlegeable, and since company is becoming very understaffed you can learn more and assume more responsibilities just to be seen as hardworking and keep their jobs.

Cons

They got themselves so deep in bebt they had to fire a couple of departments and the prep the company for sale and publick stocks. They literally couldn't pay for services they rent from bigger sharks like Pacific Bells. So many good people were let go of it's truly heartbreaking, yet all the top sharks are still in place raking big bonuses and salaries, flying themselves to Fiji every year and use 50k credit cards that are payed out of comany's pocket. Regular people's salaries are kept forever low (even top-tier IT), benefits became too expensive to afford, any raises or bonuses now given out based on personal relationships, and not performance or hard work. Any documentation showing numbers or commitment is easily forged to be in someone's favor. Higher tier management knows nothing about the product they push out or Telecom, all they care about is to squeeze as much money as possible before they go public.

We appreciate your review and are glad to hear you enjoy your colleagues. Our employees are truly what make our company stand out amongst some of the best. We see you referenced concerns around lean teams. Please know we have several new job openings to account for the significant, rapid growth we have experienced in the last few years. It’s an exciting time to be at TPx, but like any company that’s expanding, we are going through growing pains because of it. We encourage you to reach out to Human Resources at RegionalHR@TPx.com to further discuss your feedback.

Pros

Flexibility to work from home

Cons

There are more con's here than I care to share. I find the managers here to be backstabbing and petty. Not to mention the workplace is as hostile as it comes and a specific manager always picks favorites and ignores others. Managers don't know how to manage people. I cry coming to work on a daily basis. I have never worked in a place that is this unprofessional.
