Pros

Clients are welcoming, and the company prepares the equipment needed.

Cons

The time limit to get to client to another is short, especially when the houses are more than an hour away/

Pros

Great people doing great work! I am proud of the work done by TRG. The agency leans toward the conservative, but being a conservative person, I like that. The benefits are good with vacation time accruing from one's first day of work. Though many have left negative-ish reviews about the profit-sharing plan, it's FREE MONEY! In addition, we have a 401K plan that is matched up to 3% of your salary, more FREE MONEY. As for long hours, get used to it if you want a job in advertising, it's the nature of the beast. No overtime pay? It may be true that we do not get overtime pay due to everyone being on salary, but when I hired on, my salary was high enough to cover any overtime that was worked. Personally, I am proud to have spent the bulk of my professional career at The Richards Group.

Cons

Many have mentioned the 8:29:59 sign in rule, but few have mentioned that one is expected to stay until 5:30. Period. For those who commute from the suburbs (not everyone dreams of living Uptown), the traffic at 8:30am and 5:30pm is a nightmare. I would prefer to come in earlier and leave earlier, but that is not an option. Telecommuting is forbidden except for those who are traveling for work. The BIG Pro/Con would be the "golden-handcuffs." It's a good thing that I love my job because I couldn't go elsewhere and make what I am making here. It used to be that once one reached 10-15 years tenure, it took a REALLY big goof to lose one's job. It doesn't really feel that way any more. Work/Life balance is not the greatest. Sick time is only to be used when the employee is sick. One must use vacation time their young child is ill.
