Pros

Flex Time, Opportunities for a hybrid work environment, Local staff is friendly and helpful and collaborative, you will learn a lot and be given plenty of responsibility

Cons

Management by Japanese expats who lack skill and flexibility. Little knowledge or insight into the North American market. They’re very slow to make decisions and their primary goal is lining the pockets of the Japanese HQ. I think this is resulting in a mass exodus of current employees, and is why I wouldn’t recommend TS Tech as it.

Pros

Very stable company with long history of sustainable growth Company looks out for the long-term interests of the associate Plenty of opportunities for career growth and broad experience Outstanding health benefits 2+ weeks of paid shutdown, in addition to generous PTO and sick time International company Company provides uniforms and laundry (save $) Free parking Free coffee

Cons

Policies and procedures haven't caught up with company's size If you absolutely need clear and consistent direction, you'll be unhappy here Associates have to wear many hats, which can hurt work-life balance Benefits are great, but work practices follow Japanese model, rather than U.S.

Pros

Decent benefits. Shutdown twice a year. Basically impossible to get fired.

Cons

CYA culture (Cover your butt) this is an accepted term/culture there, and it is accepted that others will throw you under the buss in order to not get in trouble themselves. Management makes decisions behind closed doors, but still make you do the work for a decision already made. Management is fearful of those above them, so they won't bring your issues to their upper management. They just tell associates "no" instead of actually trying to fix problems. No true room to grow, especially if you are female or not Japanese. Promotions seem to be more time based than performance. Even as salary, your time is tracked to the minute, and taking PTO will include a guilt trip before they let you take the time off. No headphones in CCR department, so good luck concentrating in the open office with loud personalities.
