Pros

Solid experience, good relationship building, good starting off point. I learned a lot about the functions of state government, got face time with state legislators, got to observe legislative process. very interesting job.

Cons

long hours, no overtime. the hours were inconsistent during session, so it's nearly impossible to have a healthy work/life balance during that time.

Pretty okay.

Pros

It could be super chill when there was downtime. We were encouraged to bring stuff from home to do during that time: knit, read a book, mess around on a laptop.

Cons

Favoritism, but unfortunately you'll find that everywhere. Long hours with no over-time. The people are nice, but sometimes you butt head with varying personalities
