CEO and Leadership Team have minimal to no experience. Recently parted ways with company after a being with Tacony for double digit years. Unfortunately, the leadership team which was hand-picked by CEO has minimal experience, and is driven by emotion and not any long-term strategy which doesn’t bode well in today’s pre or post Covid environment. Everything is driven by monthly goals and comp plans that frequently change and not in the favor of the employee. There are a number of dedicated individuals in the everyday rank and file who still do the right thing which is what keeps the place running. This said, more talent has left in past few years than what remains, hence why all the openings.
The experienced senior leaders with integrity and strategic insights who led the sales and marketing efforts and other functional areas through the record years of Tacony, have all since left in the past 12 months which was a signal for the rest of us the leadership group was not aligned and those who were capable business leaders moved on as they were tired of the sniping from the other newer players.
Outlook is not encouraging, as it might be the first time in decades the company falls out of top 150 STL based privately held companies.
