Family owned company where many employees are extended family members and close friends of the family. At times it feel likes popularity contest. If you aren’t a “good hang” you aren’t likely to get ahead, regardless of work ethic or quality of work. The family leadership is very knowledgeable about the industry, but not necessarily skilled in growth strategy. They (rightly) seek advice from consultants or external leaders, but tend to get impatient quickly shifting trust and direction, causing rapid pendulum swings that leave employees confused.
