I was employed as a part-time programmer at Taha Academy for a duration of one month. Despite fulfilling my assigned duties, I have NOT received any PAY FOR MY WORK. It was later communicated to me that the initial training session has no pay. This information was not disclosed to me prior to my acceptance of the role or during the onboarding process. Furthermore, during subsequent discussions regarding this issue, the Academy unexpectedly claimed that my role was that of a VOLUNTEER — a characterization that was both surprising and inconsistent with my understanding of the position. This practice is in contravention of labor LAWS, which typically require payment for training periods. I have attempted to resolve this issue through dialogue with Taha Academy, but they have maintained their stance on NON-PAYMENT. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Taha Academy as an employer. Potential candidates should be aware of the possibility of UNPAID TRAINING periods and the LACK of TRANSPARENCY in their communication regarding employment terms. I hope GLASSDOOR does not reject or remove this review. I am telling the real experience, and I do not want more people experience the same thing as me. Although maybe no one see this review, I still want to contribute for people who may get misunderstanding.
