Pros

Amazingly talented people doing amazing work in spite of the so-called "management". The experience gained by these employees will allow them to find meaningful employment elsewhere soon.

Cons

This place is a PONZI scheme by definition. Scoring big clients by overpromising and then underdelivering. Missing payroll at least 5 times over the past 18 months. Not funding 401Ks. Lies and deception to keep the actual fiduciary health of the company from employees, partners and investors. Smoke and Mirrors elevated to an art form.

A dangerous employer

Pros

You will work with large, Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 clients. Great experiences with amazing companies. You are given lots of freedom to set your work hours. You get a chance to "think on your feet" every day. Get to learn new technologies. Great colleagues who will help you grow and learn. Opportunities to work with cutting-edge, 5 year old technology. You are given a computer* There are bonuses**

Cons

Do not work for Tahzoo if you don't have 100% legal authorization to work in the US. If you are here on a work visa of any kind, Tahzoo will extend a lower salary and refuse to promote you or pay you market rate based on the fact that they sponsor you. Tahzoo will not treat employees here on work visas with the same respect and dignity as US citizens. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU ARE NOT A US CITIZEN. Do not work for Tahzoo as a contractor. They will not pay you. Tahzoo still owes independent contractors upwards of $100 thousand dollars. Tahzoo's management is laughably bad. It is 100% sales-driven. Tahzoo will tell a client literally anything to make a sale. A statement of work (SOW) will be written against whatever it took to make that sale, with zero consultation from anyone who has touched a computer in the last 4 weeks. Engineers, business analysts, and architects will then be held accountable for whatever the output is. Additional people will not be put on the project, regardless of how unreasonable the deadline or deliverables are. The project will miss deadlines, the client will be unhappy, no one from management gets fired, but engineers and analysts get blamed. Attempting to help in the SOW authoring process only ends in sorrow, as VPs don't know how to use "track changes", and will overwrite an engineer's attempt to make a statement of work sound less foolish. Tahzoo is constantly desperate to make a sale. That desperation drives every decision made in the company. There are no technically competent managers higher than the director level. None of the 8-10 vice presidents know how computers work. 8-10 vice presidents are involved in every project. Every project is over budget. No one understands how projects end up over budget. No one above director level knows anything about code -- at even a basic level. Ask anyone at a VP level if they know where the source code for their products is located. <br> *Tahzoo only buys new computers for VPs. Engineers will work from their own hardware, or leftovers. There's a senior architect working from a 6-year-old macbook. <br> **Bonuses are only paid if a project is successful. Financially, projects are never successful. But the company gets to tell you, "there's bonuses".

Can't believe this place is still operational

Pros

Worked with some nice people. I'd say the pay and benefits were decent, except the company didn't deposit 401k contributions for months and screwed up everyone's taxes pretty bad.

Cons

There is virtually little to no work being done. Projects, clients, and work history are exaggerated to build credibility. The turnover at this place is insane, either by people resigning or getting laid off. People stick around, but are very aware that layoffs can happen at any second. Very few, if any, trust leadership. Given the number of layoffs and lack of incoming leads, I'm shocked this place is still operational. If you care about genuine company culture, trustworthy leadership, and meaningful work, do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere.
