Pros

My co-workers are great! Some positive changes have occurred.

Cons

You must have eyes in the back of your head as this organization has built a culture of 'Watch your Back'....I've never witnessed a Management Team (this includes the owner and his minions) that spend more time covering their tracks, lying about each other, throwing each other under the bus and blaming everyone else for issues when their own department is a mess! Too much turnover, too many releases because somebody doesn't like somebody else, too much work with too few employees, little direction, too much confusion and the people pushing for more results are the ones sitting behind closed doors with no clue of life on the floor. I would seriously challenge any previous positive reviews as I exist in this environment and I know what the true culture is and it's anything but positive. Many of us who are looking elsewhere are simply here until we can move on.

Pros

5 minute drive to the office.

Cons

It is with a heavy heart that I express my deep dissatisfaction with several aspects of my tenure, which I believe are indicative of systemic issues within the company. First and foremost, I would like to address the issue of harassment and manipulation that I witnessed and experienced during my time at Tailwind. The manner in which I was let go from my position without any prior warning or constructive feedback was both unprofessional and disheartening. I felt treated as a disposable object rather than a valued member of the team. The lack of transparency and communication surrounding my termination was deeply unsettling, and it highlighted a lack of respect for employees' professional growth and development. During my tenure, I was advised by upper management to provide inaccurate information. Benefits were abysmal. The offered benefits package did not meet industry standards and did not adequately support the well-being and security of employees. The lack of comprehensive healthcare coverage, insufficient retirement plans, and limited vacation time showcased a disregard for the holistic needs of the workforce. Furthermore, the guilt-tripping tactics employed by management whenever an employee requested time off were wholly inappropriate. Taking time off should be encouraged and supported, as it promotes work-life balance and enhances employee productivity. However, the company's culture seemed to penalize individuals for prioritizing their personal well-being and familial responsibilities, which further contributed to an unhealthy work environment. I must also address the issue of overwork, which was expected and perpetuated as part of the so-called "company culture." The pressure to consistently work long hours and surpass unrealistic deadlines was not only unsustainable but also detrimental to the mental and physical health of employees. The company's emphasis on quantity over quality undermined the creativity and innovation that could have otherwise been cultivated within the team. I observed the formation of cliques within the company, where certain employees were favored and given preferential treatment in terms of promotions and opportunities. Those who did not belong to these cliques were relegated to the role of cogs in the machine, devoid of recognition or fair consideration for advancement. This nepotistic environment not only breeds a sense of disillusionment but also hinders the overall growth and success of the company. Finally, I find it deeply concerning that false reviews have been posted on the Tailwind Voice and Data GlassDoor page. These 4-5 star reviews, characterized by their brevity and lack of meaningful descriptions, are clearly aimed at inflating the company's image. This dishonest practice undermines the credibility of the platform and demonstrates a lack of integrity within the organization. I share this hoping management will take proactive steps to address and rectify these systemic issues. It is my firm belief that fostering a culture of respect, transparency, and fairness will lead to a more engaged and productive workforce, ultimately benefiting the company as a whole. I cannot in good conscience recommend Tailwind Voice and Data as an employer to others given the challenges and negative experiences I faced. It is my sincere hope that you will take this feedback seriously and strive to create a healthier and more inclusive work environment.
