Pros

There are some very talented and friendly people working very hard at Talis.

Cons

A toxic environment, a lot of finger pointing and backstabbing going on. Too much to do and no clear path to success. A lot of good scientists and senior leaders left the company recently. Talis feels like a sinking ship now.

Pros

The RA team was incredible to work with, however, they have all quit in the past year. The team is now almost entirely new people from the past four months.

Cons

- Zero upward mobility (people with 5-10 years experience in same position as new grads) - Entire upper management lacks communication skills - Tons of in-fighting between the various teams - HR team absolutely against the employees - Extremely high turnover rate - Product is not functional, engineering-wise or biologically

Pros

The ground level employees are highly qualified and collaborative. The culture at the ground level is incredibly supportive and compassionate. You can pretty much have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the companies dime because they provide snacks, coffee, breakfast items, and daily lunch from door dash that usually allows for a dinner meal as well. The science/technology is very cutting edge with potential for success.

Cons

Senior/middle management lacks the skills necessary to provide technical guidance and career mentorship. Communication is ubiquitously poor across all levels of employees. Miscommunication and poor planning occur frequently, resulting in wasted time, reagents, money, etc. No pathways for career development or mentorship. Inequitable training opportunities and raises based on favoritism. Misogynistic undertones throughout middle management. Total lack of transparency between senior management, middle management, and ground level employees. HR is useless; they will listen to all of your questions/comments/concerns and then do absolutely nothing about it.
