Pros

The company is mission-driven and strives to put out a great product to help educators. We’re a nonprofit so resources has to spent wisely, this just means we have to be creative in our solutions. The people who are working on these solutions are amazing. A group of grounded, caring individuals who are working toward the end goal.

Cons

We are smaller in size so there can be a lot of work to be done, but everyone has the needed support to make it feel less overwhelming.

Pros

The stated values are lived and breathed and integrated into every aspect of the company. The leaders are smart and realistic and good-hearted people that are trying to have the most positive impact on kids' as possible and take care of their employees while they're at it. Every single hire I've interacted with has shared those same qualities and really work hard and well together to achieve the shared vision. I have incredible flexibility that lets me choose my work life balance without sacrificing good working relationships with my coworkers. They really have figured out how to develop a good community of remote workers. It's fun being on the forefront of technology and fully embracing AI.

Cons

With teammates all over the country (and in Uruguay) timing of meetings can present challenges and answers to questions can be delayed a bit, but not the worst I've seen. With such a small team its not a place for a lot of hierarchical ladder climbing if that is what you want to see in your career, but there are plenty of opportunities to advance skills. With all we want to accomplish, we could use more people to get it done sooner!
