      Pros

      I really care about the people I work with and I try to stand up for them as best as I can. I feel the respect back for the most part, but we’re all fed up.

      Cons

      Eric, the CEO, is the main problem. He has hired a bunch of yes-men that are too afraid to stand up to him and got rid of the few leaders with the experience to see his flaws. I could spend time paraphrasing the other bad reviews here but you really should get the point by now. It’s a sinking ship and I’m jumping off asap.

      * Great product, does well in the Shopify ecosystem * Sales team hits goals, so no layoffs * There are some strong performers at the company that you can learn a lot from

      * Awful, unhealthy, toxic work culture * To be recognized you must sacrifice your work-life balance, compromise on your ethics/values, and often succumb to your superiors ‘hunches’ or ‘strategies’ * The company has repeatedly ignored feedback (across the board) on underperforming and toxic team members who are positions of power and even rewarded them with promotions * CEO blatantly displays that employees of the business are just employees and just that. He’s against offering more benefits and getting pay to market levels. He regularly accuses teams of not working hard enough or doing quality work. * Company regularly pulls the rug off of promised benefits that they bring up every quarter. * Company regularly downplays and tries to obfuscate negative results of internal company surveys * Strong employees are leaving the company almost weekly * Several executive managers are very manipulative and try to coerce lower management to gaslight their ICs

      Pros

      Can learn a lot being a part of a small and growing company. Lots of opportunities to add value and play different roles. Employees are mostly very smart and fun.

      Cons

      CEO is narcissist and offensive. Pay is low compared to most tech companies.
