Pros

The participants generally work well with staff and buy into the program model. The pay and time off is average, but if you stick around, they have some fantastic perks (paid sabbatical, sick time payout, educational reimbursement). If you don't work in mental health, you generally aren't expected to work long days. Paid holidays follow post office holidays -- Columbus Day is a paid holiday.

Cons

Incredibly political culture. Communication silos. No clear plan for achieving goals set forth by strategic plan. High turnover. A ton of talking behind backs. Clear favoritism. Poor business outlook.

Pros

- Great mission statement, helping adults with severe and persistent mental illness live and work in the community independently, relying on as little outside social service support as possible. - Open dialogue between people within your own position is a helpful and necessary part of maintaining an appropriate work/life balance. - Training and career development are encouraged and financially supported.

Cons

- Structure within the company is disorganized, communication between departments is lacking. - Compensation is not as competitive as other mental health providers. - Days can be very long, with a lot of travel within the metro area - There is a lot of pressure from management to fulfill expectations outside of normal job description, sometimes resulting in a blur of lines between your position and another

Pros

Committed mental health staff/leadership that is dedicated to helping out clients Job opportunities for clients all around This place provides great work/learning experience for first time employees within the mental health field.

Cons

The politics in office culture is alive and well. Administration staff have a lack of communication with mental health staff which causes many problems when mental health focused duties need to be carried out. This company has a history of issues when it comes to managing their company finances Lack of transparency with company decisions and policies from administration.
