The dark cloud of misery that encompasses this whole company is the COO/CFO. Vintage ideas of glory days 30 years ago. Not the right fit for a startup biotech company. You would think that would be obvious but the CEO is literally taking classes on how to be a CEO. He is way out of his league. Easily swayed and immature. HR delegates their job to the office manager. Not one thing slated for my onboarding happened. Not one. My computer didn’t work and no matter how often it crashed and I begged for reliable equipment the response was “don’t let tech issues hold you back”. Well, they do when I need the computer for literally every single component of my job. The social vibe is just so gross. Very haves and haves not. The people literally making the devices are seen as replaceable and given no respect. While management bickers behind each others back and blatantly lies to each other. It’s so toxic, and bringing any of this up gets completely ignored.

Felt like constant chaos and not the fun kind. History of multiple layoffs and rehiring, and very flippant management attitude about the impact that has on people. The executive team is trying but missing the mark on setting a good culture. People who’ve been here longer are not the friendliest. Some people are taken advantage of (meaning no work life balance) and some skate by barely doing anything at all. Constant turnover all over the organization interrupts work and complicates everything.
