IF you are not prepared to be a YES employee, drink the less than desirable management koolaid and lose money while working here, this is NOT the place for you!
1. Turnover is ridiculously high and Tata Harper has lost some of the best employees over the past year because management doesn't care about employee retention. It is clear that Tata Harper herself does NOT care or she has absolutely no idea what is happening with the staff (doubt she doesn't know, but it could be possible).
2. The public philosophy is NOT practiced internally towards employees.
- For example, ALL NATURAL products where you don't have to compromise your health for beauty is an amazing philosophy BUT the company only give employees $30/per diem for meals when on the road. Unfortunately, you are unable to eat healthy food on the road at that insulting per diem rate unless you pack your own lunch for trips or only eat apples and nuts.
- Owner and management encourage the public to have work/life balance in social media posts and do not practice that philosophy with staff.
3. PT is actually FT hours with PT pay because you are not paid for travel time. Example: Away from home for 4-5 days but will only be paid for the 18 hours that you spent with clients in the store.
4. Management does not want to hear what employees have to say, their concerns or suggestions; management strictly wants to have YES people surround them and feel fortunate to work there.
5. When top employees decide they had enough and quit, management does not care nor do they want to hear the truth of WHY
6. When you take initiative and spend your personal money to buy treats or create incentive games for Sephora employees, expect that you will NOT be reimbursed because you will NOT!
7. Payroll is ALWAYS making mistakes and there are NO details on checks to understand if you are being paid properly and being reimbursed accurately for expenses.
8. Training is not well thought out, very quick and less than satisfying.
9. The gossip internally is deafening, high-school like and inappropriate.
10. If they cared, they would have an exit interview to understand WHY people leave at a rapid rate and often resign near 6 month mark after the reality of the culture settles.
