Pros

High quality relationships in a warm environment

Cons

Low pay. The LTC has several aspects that are either non-Biblical or are not really followed. Regardless, all faculty, staff and students must pretend to agree to these non-Biblical rules. For example, there seems to be a common understanding that moderate consumption of alcohol is not prohibited in the Bible. Even so, the LTC prohibits any consumption of alcohol. Several faculty - even administrators seem to consume some alcohol. There appears to be a "don't ask, don't tell" attitude regarding private moderate consumption alcohol. The LTC prohibits off-campus dancing for staff and faculty. Yet, Taylor student organizations hold dances. Hence, the LTC allows students to dance, but faculty and staff are prohibited by the LTC from dancing (unless the dancing takes place at a "sanctioned" Taylor dance. The LTC defines gambling as "the exchange of money or goods by betting or wagering." The LTC gives no scriptural reason for prohibiting betting. Gambling at Taylor " is not acceptable in any form." However, Taylor-sponsored raffles are common. Further, many Taylor students, staff and faculty bet on stocks. unwise use of God

Pros

Great environment to work in. I learned a lot and grew personally.

Cons

Pay will only be okay. Part of this is because most people working here don't do it for the pay, rather because they love the community.
