Poor leadership makes it impossible to know what the business priorities are, or how we are meant to achieve them. We are all told to be "excited" about a new company structure and our completely unachievable growth goals, but we have been given no explanation as to why the new structure should help us, nor any tools or extra investment to achieve such goals.
A lack of communication from the top, makes it very difficult to prioritise projects, understand the business direction, or know what we are supposed to deliver.
A stream of redundancies and bungled restructures through 2024/2025 make this a very precarious place to work, and some teams and departments are now understaffed and unable to cope with the ever-increasing workload.
Changes to the bonus scheme mean that there is no personal incentive to "go the extra mile" as the bonus is now based entirely on completely unachievable company-wide growth goals.
A return to office mandate made earlier this year has upended a previously very flexible work culture, to the detriment of accessibility, and now remote workers have no chance of progressing. The business justification for this change was based on a complete misunderstanding of how most of the company's employees actually work.
The company culture used to make this a pleasant place to work, but the current CEO seems bent on destroying this, treating employees like unruly schoolchildren to be ordered about, rather than trusted colleagues with the autonomy to do their work as they see fit.
Morale is very low. Most people I work with are frustrated and angry at the mismanagement of the changes we are going through.
