This Company is a HOT MESS! RUN!

Pros

There were some great employees...before they all ran for the hills!

Cons

First of all, management has zero experience in the classroom! The turnover is ridiculous! Lack of organization throughout. If you like having free reign to do EVERYTHING yourself, this may be the job for you. I prefer at least a little marketing support and maybe a CRM with a few contacts. You're on your own to reinvent the wheel while navigating complex products with very little training. Everything is an algorithm or data point on a spreadsheet, 100% about TT's profits without regard for customers or employees

Pros

Everyone was engaging and asked great questions during the interview process. It sounded like they really believed in the products.

Cons

I went through 3 rounds of interviews with management at Teach Town and it was great! Despite the fact that they had little experience in the K12 market and in special Ed they seemed like they had their head on their shoulders and knew what they were doing. I was given an offer letter that was below my base salary expectations. Which was okay, I just thought hey we could negotiate. I am 13-year vet in sales with 10 years in K12. Long story short, numbers were thrown around through text messages but, then soon after they ghosted me altogether. All I got was a voided contract email notification from the original offer. I understand they are a newer company, but I thought it was unprofessional especially since they approached me. Candidates beware.

Absolute nightmare

Pros

The mission, in theory, is positive

Cons

Culture is horrendous. No one knows how to do their jobs (no training) so there are frequent disagreements bandaged by lazy leadership telling people to “just get along” and forcing them to do icebreakers like the first day of 9th grade. Leaders are inexperienced and embarrassingly apathetic to concerns of their team. Employees are passionate and eager to learn but this company is a disaster. Such a sad outcome of a place that claims such passion for progressing the field of special ed. Company wide issues, turnover, etc make using this product a nightmare for school districts, many which are already crumbling, and the product ultimately ends up doing more harm than good in some of these classrooms. The company is now owned by Bane and it is incredibly apparent that the focus is growing quickly so it can be sold for a profit in the next year or two. I don’t know a single employee who hasn’t already quit or is planning to in the near future. I wish I could take this experience off my resume because it was an embarrassment to be associated with this organization.
