Pros

Lovely personalities of teams, the experience of a 360 Rec. Consultant role, meeting your candidates and clients on a regular basis, progression opportunities...

Cons

Hours (they expect you to do 7-7), managers constantly belittle their team and only have their own goals in mind, ridiculously money motivated to a point where humanity disappears, recruitment consultants think they're better than their candidates because the candidates are teaching assistants and you're earning 3x their salary, really bad work/life balance if you're family orientated/married (don't expect to see your children regularly!), expect to take work home with you on the weekends, unrealistic targets

Pros

Good training, nothing spectacular but teaches you the basics

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Silly hours (7:00-16:30, 8:30-18:00) for barely any money (£20k basic) working in an incredibly saturated market, there’s a million other education recruitment firms out there scrapping for pennies. It’s genuinely the belly button of recruitment, highly recommend avoiding education rec altogether. Why or how anyone can stay for more than a year is beyond me, far better industries in recruitment to work in!

Pros

Education is a 8 days recruitment process due to the government going checks with agents punching digits!

Cons

Quick to hire professionals, but don’t want relations with professsionals only authorities of schools, and due to miscommunication between Teachers and school heads as agents are the go between, they are the worst communicators and business partners, only concerned with schools and agency performance for schools, they have lost touch with humanity!!!!
