Pros

1. The tea is truly amazing. 2. Junior team members were generally smart and helpful. Good people. 3. Had the ability to meet and work with some interesting external partners.

Cons

1. Benefits are not competitive, especially considering how much is expected in order to be "successful". It is expected you will work weekends, nights and attend special events, and failure to do so is seen as you being ungrateful about the opportunity you've been given at the company. 2. The company says they're a feminist organization but doesn't support their employees as such. 3. Lack of meaningful mentorship or career guidance. 4. No real ability to make decisions or change the organization, as management only believes in their own ideas and ideals. 5. Management says they want diverse opinions, but reject those opinions when someone voices them. Those team members will be labelled as difficult and unhelpful.

Pros

- Associates are very intelligent and bright people - Great product- unlimited very high-quality tea - If interested in the luxury space, a great opportunity to learn and explore

Cons

- Sell a lie to trusting young women looking to start their careers, sometimes in a new city. What was said during the interview process was not the reality of the job, culture, career development opportunities. Be wary of aspects of the position that sound too good to be true (connections, career dev opportunities, travel). - No diversity in the team- all young women fresh out of university, hired from the same three schools. Leads to groupthink and cattiness. - Upper management does not know what they are doing. The business is not run like a business, or management is too secretive to share too much of what is happening behind the scenes. - Rewards toxic behaviour among senior employees, leaving a culture that absolutely KILLS mental health. The team is full of great people but the company and work suck the life out of them and leads to mental health challenges- so sad. - Become a jack of all trades, master of none. This is a scale-up, so be prepared to do everything. Not necessarily a bad thing, but is not what is communicated in the recruitment process and may not be the path that people are expecting for their careers. Lack of specialization in skills or mastery of proven processes can make it difficult to find a position elsewhere. - Compensation is not competitive, doesn't make up for the other cons.

Pros

- Associates / Leads are good people

Cons

Toxic Environment created by leadership team: - Swearing, belittling, yelling at employees - Pitting team members against each other - Putting personal gain above company - Preach a flat organization but run a dictatorship - Under pay employees and expect them to work like dogs for approval - Won't give well-earned promotions for fear of people being able to leave more easily with a new title - No HR function to be able to voice complaints and have them resolved Be skeptical of the dream they sell you on (getting into a top school, connections), they are not able to deliver
