Pros

I often look around and think: This is the right product, the right time, the right place, and the right people to do something big. If anyone can leverage the power of Silicon Valley tech to help improve the working experience of millions upon millions of blue collar workers, it’s Teambridge. 60% of the world’s workforce is paid hourly—and that’s the market for Teambridge’s composable workforce management solution. It’s a fully customizable, no code platform that acts as the source of truth for businesses, helping them manage hiring, scheduling, invoicing, pay, and more—making it perfectly positioned to leverage the power of AI. Every day at Teambridge is exciting. Things move fast. The product changes and improves rapidly. The people are brilliant, highly motivated, and work as hard as anyone. My coworkers are interesting, quirky, multifaceted, kind, and generous with their highly sought after time. It’s a good group of people trying to do something big and it’s fun to be a part of it. The office is beautiful, right downtown in between Salesforce Park and the LinkedIn building. The kitchen is well stocked and having dogs in the office is a treat. If you want a true Silicon Valley startup experience that has the opportunity to make a lasting positive mark on the global workforce—Teambridge is the place to be.

Cons

People work hard, long hours. Work-life balance is 90% work 10% life at Teambridge. The teamwork, work environment, and in-office energy is exceptional, and makes it worth it, but there will almost always be more work than what is reasonable for you to handle. The company is ruthlessly committed to maintaining talent density. There has been a lot of turnover and the vast majority of it has been involuntary. Some are quitting because they’re being worked too hard, but the turnover is mostly people getting fired because they’re not producing a good enough work product or they’re not willing to work hard enough. I’ve witnessed intelligent, high-achieving individuals with insanely impressive resumes join the company and quickly get left behind. It’s a place where you are expected to do difficult things, work insanely hard, and earn your spot.

Pros

- Beautiful, well-stocked office - Smart, kind and ambitious co-workers - Sophisticated product, solid TAM - Solid growth potential, if you position yourself well - Comp is respectable - Product decisions are well-considered and directionally I have a lot of faith in the business; they don't kowtow to customer demands and have a vision beyond immediate growth goals - They are not afraid to spend money, with the exception of headcount

Cons

- Lack of work life balance - Benefits aren't on par with market standards in SF - Office-first culture - Leadership's *leadership* fluctuates; one is somewhat checked-out of the day-to-day, while the other micro-manages. - They are still working to find their footing with culture; they almost seem hesitant to allow employees to have too much fun left they forget this is a job - Like many start ups, engineers are coddled This is not a company that pretends to honor work life balance. Employees are often applauded publicly for being online at odd hours, not taking vacations, etc. Your long-term success very much hinges on making yourself visible to executive leadership. They do not make consistent HR decisions across the board, and exceptions will be made for favorites. It must be said that the product is extremely buggy -- there are almost daily fire drills. Investment has been made into infrastructure and reliability but I'm not convinced it can keep pace with the rate of development. They do not place a premium on hiring ahead of growth goals. They will allow people to burn out before addressing headcount and chalk it up to the cost of doing business. They do not do a great job of communicating departures. I don't think this is a Bad place but they may need to reconsider some of their operational principles over the next year if they want to attract and retain top talent.
