Terminated on 90 day review

Pros

It was a stepping stone, they offer additional classes that some may find helpful

Cons

I was terminated on my 90 day review (after 90 days is when you start receiving your benefits) because management stated my position was no longer needed; they are currently looking to add new employees to other positions within the company so I question why they wouldn't put me in another similar position if position termination was solely the reason. I received no prior warning to the position being terminated. Also be aware that the company requires employees to attend courses in house taught by one of the CEO's family members and are "technology" courses written by the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. Taking the classes made me feel uncomfortable due to my personal religious beliefs but I was promised an additional $1 raise per hour after completion so I took them anyways. I also personally felt singled out multiple times throughout my brief employment for things that I felt other employees did too but weren't scolded for. Please note: This is only my opinion and I cannot speak for anyone else employed by the company. Cons IMO: -Unclear reasons for termination -Poor communication prior to termination -Potentially uncomfortable Religious leader (L Ron Hubbard) ideologies implimented in the workplace -Feeling discriminated against

Hello there, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I am sorry to hear about your experience here at Teami. I will be looking into all of this to make sure it was fixed and improved on our end. We strive to create an inclusive and uplifting environment here at Teami and I am sorry if that is not how you felt your experience was. We are always working on improving and making our company culture the best that it can be. We have had to let go of employees in the past due to downsizing so the reason you were given was likely true, we try to be honest with all employees at all times and terminations are always avoided when possible. Our courses are business courses that relate to the job one is hired for. These courses are optional to the employee and are there to help our team if they want to improve their skills within their job. We don't deliver courses regarding Scientology or any other religion, of course. Thank you for your feedback and I wish you well in your future careers. We will work hard to improve anything we can for our employees!

Pros

The products work like a dream! It is really easy to work there and help guide people to finding the best products for them because of it. The teas and skincare products are designed to assist people who really need it. When your department, or company hit highest ever you where treated to a department or company reward. It really helped bring everyone together to help work towards a similar goal.

Cons

It is a culture of snitching on each other, writing fake reviews when products go onto a site, forced scientology courses, sign legal paperwork that says 'hey girls', and the CEO lacks tact to converse with other employees. It is hard to stay passionate about your job when actions in the company constantly make you feel like you are the odd one out. There is a clear 'look' for the employees and models that they go with for product photoshoots. Instead of showing the full spectrum of people that Teami helps it the photos show the same few models (who are also employees) and turn away feedback. One of the BIGGEST problems with this company is the lack of respect for a home life. They are a 'small company' still and have only been around for 5 years but if you don't resolve an issue as soon as it shows up you are reprimanded the following day during 'business hours'. The problem being with the majority of the business being on social media is that it never sleeps so in turned YOU never sleep. The work ethic of the CEO is to sleep for a few hours, work all day, go work out, shower and work some more. It is not sustainable and is often pushed as what you need to do in order to move up in the company. I had pay raises that I earned pushed back time and time again which later turns out was due to HR not wanting to pay it. If you go check out ULTA you can see a huge influx of 'positive' reviews that where all posted around the same time of the same day. Want to know why? That was a message sent out to every employee.

Pros

You can bring your dog occasionally.

Cons

At first I thought the company was great. I told all of my friends and family to use their products and I was a real advocate. I came to find out 6 months into my employment that the company is saturated with Scientology methods. The CEO and her mother are devout Scientologists. We were forced to take official Scientology courses and this was the only way to do well in the company. If your stats were down, you would be ignored and shunned... literally, the CEO would not even look at you or acknowledge you. If your stats were up, you were praised. You are promised the world but you are given SO much work and you are expected to do it all because GOD FORBID your stats fall. There was a huge lack of consistency in my position and things were constantly added onto my "battle plan" to "remedy" any down stat. If you are down stat because of a reason out of your control, it doesn't matter... you HAVE to remedy to get your stats up. It doesn't matter that the internet went down or Instagram glitches for hours, it is YOUR fault. The amount of micromanaging was suffocating. We are also ENCOURAGED to write people up... Not to mention the company cannot hold employees. I watched the CEO fire an entire department in one week. You never feel like you have a safe and stable position because at any moment for any reason you can be fired. They do not care about you. Your first year, you only get 3 PTO... Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Hi, Thank you for letting us know about this, I am sorry to hear you did not have a great experience while working here at Teami Blends. I will be looking into each of these situations and seeing what we can do to improve as a company. We do not offer any Scientology courses here at Teami and are secular as a company. We used to offer optional secular business courses that related to ones job position, but we no longer offer those. We do not discriminate against any religions or promote any religions within our company. As a start up company we have high goals for our employees and really want the best for them and for them to succeed. We do monitor our employees stats and goals but try not to micromanage, we just really want everyone to have the tools they need to succeed at Teami. While it is never fun when stats fall, we are always looking for ways to reward when they are up and make fun games for the entire team. We are currently expanding and growing our team significantly which can come with some restructuring. Luckily we did not have to let go of anyone during the pandemic and was able to keep stable jobs for all of our employees! Thank you again for letting us know about this and we appreciate your time here at Teami Blends.
