Pros

Low pressure mostly laid back atmosphere. Freedom to choose your os and tooling for the most part. Very very large monitors, great for coding. Some genuinely nice and interesting folks.

Cons

Compensation and benefits are average or below average. The culture is very confusing. During the interview process the culture was presented as warm and inviting, but that seems to be more of an aspiration than a reality. As another reviewer alluded, there seems to be a classic high school "cool kids" group with all the classic negative attributes. There are some genuinely nice folks who transcend the cool, uncool kids grouping so try to be one of them and maybe the culture can change. The other con would be the nature of the work, the interesting work seems to go to a few senior developers while the majority of developers work on minor updates or maintenance. That sort of work distribution is pretty normal, people who have proven themselves get to work on hard things, but unlike most places, there is no clear path for progression.

Pros

Interesting place. They pay well but are a cheap with benefits. A decent environment with space and time provided to finish projects. Great Project Manager. Hours were flexible and they worked with my school schedule. Nothing hectic about the workflow

Cons

Not much in the way of Leadership or communication. I am an admirer of the owner but he was rarely there. I witnessed markedly bad behavior from the president far too often. There appeared to be a trickle down attitude of negativity and if you weren't one to make fun of others, or speak in a caustic manner, you were excluded. Young Developers are ignored. Lots of employee turnover.
