Pros

Only one Pro: Great colleagues If you ended up in a team with a great culture; you would find yourself in a very diverse and international environment. I was lucky to end-up in a great team; good colleagues to work with and very collaborative where I can grow my interpersonal and professional skills even further. And they are the only reason I stayed

Cons

The company culture is not reflected in real life. Each team has their own culture. If you ended up in great team with great culture then you are lucky. Middle-management that directly supervised employees doesn't care about their team, only care about their positions. They are not real people managers. The leadership is down the drain - my manager was very verbally abusive and controlling, often scream different team member infront of other people in a meeting. No integrity and no keeping promises If the company implementing "whistleblower" system, then it should be actually picked up, not only as a decorative thing. There are couple times of case where 2 of my different colleagues reported one manager through this system but it was ignored and even dismissed because the manager had been with the company more than 20 years. This company doesn't value its employees: very little benefits, not rewarding its employees with what the employees have achieved and deserved. Very little to none rewards given even though you are a superstar employee (you don´t need to expect monetary rewarding ever) No Bonus given to sales role, no company cars, just give up on getting anything from making millions

Pros

* A great place to learn new technologies. * Good life/work balance. * Room to shine if you want it.

Cons

* A conscious choice to under hire is made which effects the quality of their product * Strong central vs local issues caused by a lack of international style thinking * A lot of things are done without thinking about the value of the task, just to tick the box

The truth about Tele2 culture

Pros

- Tele2 is a well-known and established brand with strong market recognition. - Depending on the team, the local culture can be collaborative and positive. If you’re lucky, you may find yourself working with capable and supportive colleagues. - Fast-paced environment with potential for cross-functional experience.

Cons

One of the most commonly recognized and widely discussed issues among Tele2 employees is the long-term impact of its trainee-to-leadership pipeline. The company pairs recent university graduates with C-suite executives, and many of these trainees are later placed into influential roles. This isn’t based on proven ability, but rather on how closely they align with their executive mentors. It’s well understood inside the company that C-suite leaders often see these trainees as reflections of themselves. Because of this, they are fast-tracked into key positions. This dynamic is less about merit and more about ego, with leaders inserting their chosen trainees into roles of influence because they see a version of themselves in them. Trainees are expected to maintain high visibility, often arriving earlier and leaving later than their assigned executives. This reinforces a culture where optics and performative overcommitment are mistaken for ambition or capability. Once embedded into teams, many of these former trainees struggle to collaborate or understand what it actually takes to deliver. Despite this, they often assert influence, take credit for team efforts, and in some cases override their own managers. These behaviors are not only tolerated, but frequently rewarded. The result is a culture that confuses immaturity and self-promotion with passion. Meanwhile, experienced professionals who are qualified and focused on meaningful work are routinely overlooked. For those considering a role at Tele2, particularly outside the trainee track, it’s important to be aware of this dynamic. The company tends to reward visibility and internal loyalty over actual contribution, which can make it difficult for skilled professionals to succeed or grow.
