Pros

- good daytime hours (7-3, 8-4 or 9-5) - parking available on side streets - directly on bus route - can interview and start within a day if you want - can make money if you are aggressive and push sales

Cons

- small, cramped work areas - old computers, dirty headsets and desks (constantly found garbage shoved behind computers, under desks) - no office morale, not many friendly people - managers only care about your sales - "sell the product or get the customer to hang up" mentality - one break for your entire shift - just a deadbeat workplace that really doesn't care about individual employees - no room for any advancement

Pros

There wasn't any pros, it was all push for sales

Cons

I quit after I was written up for not pushing a sale with an older women who was CLEARLY confused/not well. She would have given her credit card info with no idea what she was doing, she obviously did not need & could not afford to spend $50 on magazine subscriptions so I ended the call & wishes her well. They "disagreed" with my ending the call instead of taking her info & completing the sale. That was all I needed to know. I quit the same day.

It's a cheque...

Pros

-Interview is incredibly easy. They basically just want to make sure you can speak and read English -Weekly payday -Minimum wage + commissions on some campaigns, more than minimum wage on other campaigns -Overall an okay place to go for work if you're desperate for a job and want to get back on your feet

Cons

-Payday is on Monday, but as an incentive to show up on time every day you can get your cheque on Friday. However, if you do get sent home for the day (because your numbers aren't good enough), your cheque will still be witheld until Monday -Managers will shout very loudly over your shoulder while you are on the phone with someone (not helpful when you're trying to NOT come across as a telemarketer) -They don't ever clean their computers -The front of the building ALWAYS advertises that they're hiring because the turnover rate is so high(!). Some people who work here are actually good at it and have been there for years, but unless you're one of those people, don't hold your breath hoping things will improve. Unless you can sell Bibles to a nunnery, use it as a stepping stone, not a destination.
