Dead company walking

Pros

Decent pay - when I left I was earning an industry standard salary. Flexible schedule, depending of course on where you work and whether or not you're one of the favoured ones.

Cons

Dead end business - the market is going away steadily. At the time I left management efforts to find new products/markets were starting to get frantic. In spite of making soothing noises, management doesn't actually care about employees- as soon as they are done with you they will discard you with the bare minimum legally required. I saw long-term employees, people who had been instrumental in building the business up, tossed out the door like yesterday's garbage. For the most part, anybody with any self-respect has left already.

All good things come to end

Pros

I agree with most of the comments below 6+ years ago Teligence was a fun place to work filled with brilliant and eclectic people. You didn't mind working hard as you played hard, but these days have come and gone. Its a company with an aging product that is struggling to make a new name for its self. Sorry to see it go but all good things come to an end. I would also like to point out the company information does not represent the current company latest employee count was at 48 and revenue was $30M.

Cons

Management lacks direction, management has control issues and lacks trust in subject matter experts. Its all about cost savings now not about growth or the latest and greatest which can lead to boring days of working on old products. Minimal growth opportunity as most employees that leave their positions the positions are absorbed. No formal training its all training by trial. Lastly the brilliance has left the room I don't expect big ideas down the road only the status quo until the doors close.

Pros

The salary was above average. Fairly chill work environment. Decent benefits and RSP matching.

Cons

Utterly incompetent management. Shady leadership. Company in a long, drawn-out decline. Hard to stay motivated or be excited about being there.
