I was lucky enough to be part of Tembosocial back in 2009 (known as Pollstream) and it remains to be my favourite company (I'm with TD now). There are not many memorable experiences that you can count your fingers in one's life, Tembosocial is definitely one of them.
Tembosocial is a tech company that focuses on employee recognition and idea generations. It is behind and empowers many of the Fortune 500 corporations today (such as TD, RBC, BMW etc.) to become the best employers, yet people seldom heard of Tembosocial -- as an employer, it is just as good if not better.
The job at tembosocial is fast paced, challenging yet stable. The benefits from my experiences are on par with the major banks (such as TD) and overall much better than regular tech companies.
It is not only technology focused (e.g. IDC award for Cloud design, IBM Solutions Partner etc.) but also people focused. The company is extremely adaptive, willing to change and hear from its employees. Everyone is equal regardless of seniority and can come up with ideas that decide the company's direction and be compensated equally. The people here are the brightest and most amiable groups I've worked with to date.
Working is not all part of Tembosocial experiences; the management team is very generous and has hosted various events (laser tags, magic show, cocktile party, regular wine/cheese and small gambling events, team collaboration to cook food with professional chefs, even invited the crew to watch football at Rogers Center).
Finally, the office is not hosted in busy downtown but is located in a quiet and amiable residential neighbourhood area surrounded by trees.
I hope you enjoy the Tembo experiences as much as I do (Tembo is the company spirit where smaller elephant is held and carried on by larger elephants).
