Pros

They waste a ton of money on social events.

Cons

Awful environment full of drugs and misogyny. Ableist, homophobic and sexist team members are allowed to do and say whatever they wish based on revenue they bring in. Managers with no backbone. Toxic sales staff are allowed to get away with anything they wish and it is not managed at all. Average agency for “just a job” if that’s what you need.

Pros

Great if you love speaking on the phone from 8:30-6pm. Targets

Cons

It is glorified sales. They try to attract talented graduates and then exploit them into long hours and hours and hours on the phone trying to sell/get clients. Recruitment companies are not a job centre correct however there should be some kind of empathy there. I was just like to get as many people signed up as possible. This job affected my mental health majorly and each day was a struggle. I now am a successful secondary teacher but still think about this traumatic time. I was also told i would receive extensive training upon starting with the other trainees but this did not happen. I was also told by my manager to send one of my clients a job. I asked is there a job description i can send or abit about the company? He said no just find one of google. the client ended up super unprepared. If you were supposed to finish work at 6pm but started getting up at 5:55 someone would snitch on you :) I was also told to come in at 7:30 am(unpaid might i add) to go onto the job search page and get those candidates who had just joined. Someone high up also said ' if people dont pick up try three times..once in the morning, afternoon and just after work' There is HUGE staff turnover for a reason.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. Naturally, it is disappointing that you left our business with a negative perception. We ensure during our extensive interview process that all individuals we appoint are aware that the job role will involve speaking to people on the phone (inbound and outbound calling) - not everyone can do this, which we recognise and try to manage not just through our recruitment process but also through our extensive staff induction, twelve week training program and ongoing management. The points you have raised about the working hours are generally correct. We do expect individuals to work hard during the day and on occasion, to exceed targets, some individuals may need / elect to work longer hours than the job role stipulates in their contract. It is a largely commission based job role and therefore the 'right' individuals will put in this effort without being asked. We particularly expect those efforts to be made by individuals (graduates) who we are investing tens of thousands of pounds into with no certainty of return. Recruitment is an incredibly competitive market, and unfortunately if we are not making these efforts then we will not be reaching candidates or clients at the right times. My belief is that a lot of the points you raise ultimately come down to an incorrect job match for you. Recruitment is hard. it takes allot of effort, resilience and determination and you have to be willing to pick up the phone to make things happen. In return, successful individuals have access to great incentives, tremendous earning potential and what can ultimately be a fulfilling job role. Not everyone is willing to put in the hard work to generate the positive outcomes. Naturally, I do wish you the best of luck in your job role as a secondary school teacher and hope that is a better match for your skill set.

Pros

No social life - if you're in to that

Cons

Many. Highlight would be having my drink spat in while I was out for lunch. Being told you're under performing by the director for taking your lunch break would be another top pick.

Thank you for you review, we're extremely sorry that you have had this experience with us. We make it very clear throughout the three stage interview process that the role is a sales role, is very demanding and will require going above and beyond to get the desired results, which would include staying late and working through lunch sometimes. This is always very clear from the outset and anyone that is successful in recruitment will know this. Its seems that perhaps recruitment was just not the right career for you. We wish you all the best!
