      Pretty good for a part time as needed gig

      Pros

      Great environment, friendly coworkers, lots of schedule flexibility for part time employees, organization is very transparent with employees about finances, grant opportunities & challenges, and all the other moving parts of keeping the lights on at a nonprofit

      Mediocre pay, no opportunity for growth or advancement.

      Good coworkers and the preserve is great.

      Cons

      Impossible to get regular hours. You'll get 20 hours a MONTH if you're lucky. Sometimes only 3 hour days. No upward mobility or attempt to retain trained staff. Every spring they'll train 6 new PT staff, all for them to leave by next spring because they couldn't get any hours in the winter. Only to waste time and money training new staff again next spring. Don't even bother trying to gain the respect of the director
