Pros
Working with kids can be rewarding if you are not so overwrought that you can't enjoy it. Some flexibility to move around to different age rooms etc .
Cons
45 hour week minimums, 11 hour days with one, 30 min break 8 hours into it, healthcare that is unaffordable, staffing always so low that you are juggled between rooms and theyll combine all different ages (as much as the state allows) so you can't appropriately target learning to age. Way too much cookie cutter curriculum with NO follow up of how it's being implemented. Lazy and terrible middle management who mostly just works there for their own kids' daycare discount and doesn't care about employees or anything much. If you do their supposedly so great "4 10s" it is 4 11.5 hour days and you can't get the same day off like...ever. So all you do on that day is try to recover from the chaos that is every other day. Minimal crappy PTO No real HR person so no one can guide you through healthcare, PTO, or anything. They leave that to location managers but they're always so busy they don't want to be bothered. No one is supposed to have a personal life. I got sick with a major health issue while working there and got treated like crap just bc I had to go to the doctor. Pregnant lady I worked with couldn't even get affordable enough daycare rates to bring her own child there, yet they treated her like crap anytime she was late or her baby was home sick. Childcare company that doesn't give a crap about its own employees families and kids unless you've worked there like 8 years already. Then they care a tiny bit. Garbage company!
