Pros

e-com is interesting market. trips are great

Cons

they only care about the bottom line. they do not care about their employees or customers. They will ask you to give extra, to work around events, to go to work in the factory when they are stuck, but they will never give anything extra to their employees. Technology is years behind the market and tech department are the worst in israel. here is what you should ask yourself before signing in tenengroup: 1. ask them: do you charge anything from your employees for the kitchen and refreshments (yes they are for 120 NIS/month) 2. what is the employee turnover in TG (it is about 25-30%) 3. how many internal promotions where there in 2020 (probably less than 5) 4. look at their site and play with it. there are millions of bugs, low technology and nothing interesting about. it. ( mynamenecklace) 5. did you pay bonuses as promised in the past few years?

Pros

Some great people (that leave), the company has a big reputation, HR tries to make it fun and take care of the issues, basic food in the kitchen with happy hours, 10bis, trendy jewellery easy to market, great parties. It all depends on what team you're on, some are great, others have a revolving door for a reason.

Cons

It's an e-commerce so after a year you are doing the same thing over and over, not learning much. It's quantity over quality. They say they want to innovate but I think they just looking for slaves. You are made to feel replaceable. If your manager is someone that has proved his loyalty and been there since the beginning, you may have a hard time advancing anywhere as everything goes through them. People you don't expect to get promoted are suddenly team leaders. Team leaders don't seem to have power to change anything. Have complaints? Your team leader sucks but has been there for years? There's no one to talk to. Most people hired are juniors so if you have ANY experience it may be spent picking up extra work your teammates don't know how to do, even though they probably make the same as you and were hired for the same role. Everyone including managers will assume you're a junior as well, even if you have the same knowledge as your team leader and then treat you like they are doing you a favour letting you work there. No personal attention paid to you, you're just a cog. Processes can be long and complicated with work that should be automated. Nothing to make you want to do a good job or improve over last year. I think to succeed long term, you would need to be great at politics. How you get along wth your coworkers (even the bad ones) is something they really care about and is mentioned in employee reviews. Does your job rely on working with sensitive people who are stressed, quick to get angry and defensive, in a constant bad mood and take everything you say in the worst possible way? Good luck. Employee reviews don't talk about your future career goals, how to achieve them at the company or how to get a salary increase. Many people working there for years who should have been fired long ago and would probably be fired if they were working in a different company. Mediocrity is totally fine here. They are constantly asking for your ideas. Getting a raise doesn't seem to happen unless you are in a very competitive field and if you ask for one, you are given an excuse that has nothing to do with anything or made promises to string you along for a few more months. Things managers say often contradict, like they think their employees don't talk and compare. The company culture is strange. Some job titles make no sense when you compare the same job in other companies. Some people like to gossip A LOT and it's distracting in an open space. Micromanagement. They say they want you to own your job and come up with new ideas but really not, you will be a bad guy for trying to make change. Arguments between teams that must work together and all you want to do is your job and not be sucked into some crazy unprofessional drama. A lot of bullying to the point HR needs to be involved and even yelling sometimes by certain people who are very stressed, trying to find who to blame and humiliate over tiny things, with an "your team against my team" toxic mentality. Impossible deadlines with no flexibility and no vacation if someone can't cover you, leading to arguments over who gets to have a life this weekend. I feel sorry for the people who are there for years and don't know how to leave or are blind to these problems or think it's normal. If you find yourself looking around at your coworkers, thinking why are they so miserable and looking for any excuse not to come to work - maybe you are the problem?
