Save yourself some time and join literally any other tech recruitment agency. You’ll be nothing but a number there. Here’s just some of the cons:
- Managers calling consultants and clients derogatory names that can’t be shared on this platform as per Glassdoor’s Community Guidelines.
- Wasn’t told about my probation target until my 4th month in the business (and I had to ask about it).
- Poor leadership from majority of AVPs. Promotions are based on billings, not leadership qualities, which anyone in recruitment would know a good recruiter doesn’t always correlate to a good manager.
- No training on the CRM or company’s processes. Very much thrown in the deep end and expected to bill on day 3.
- No relationships. They’ll sell you the dream about having relationships with companies like Salesforce, AWS etc but the reality is they don’t exist.
- Condescending comments towards consultants by those in upper management. Just some remarks made included “are you recruiting telepathically”, “I can see you’re all doing stuff all (replaced a word there for you know what)”, “Telstra must be down with how quiet it is in here” and more.
- Poor processes and no sales process. Very much in the mindset of “this is how we’ve always done it so we don’t need to change things”. Not open to any feedback or different perspectives. The lack of processes they do have, are outdated and not best practice.
- Even when you ask for extra training and support and share your concerns, things won’t change and extra support won’t be provided.
