I left this job stressed out and depressed due to the constant verbal abuse and a general hostile work environment fostered by management.
Almost daily you will have about 6 people crammed into a small office so that one person can be singled out to be yelled at and to be made to feel less than. This is clearly done with the goal to be to have everyone else see that this can/will be you next time.
The job posting will advertise monthly and yearly bonuses, but there is no yearly bonus available. The monthly “bonus” is a tiered commission structure designed to have you make the least amount possible. If an employee left, monthly goals would be changed, lowering your take home pay.
There is no meaningful training provided, yet you will be criticized and reprimanded for not knowing processes or expectations that were never clearly explained. You are expected to somehow understand constantly shifting procedures without guidance, documentation, or support.
Rules change frequently, sometimes daily, and you will be reprimanded for mixing up one of the many new policies that were never properly communicated. Expectations are inconsistent and unclear, and accountability is enforced selectively.
You will also receive contradictory direction from different members of management on how to proceed, only to later be criticized regardless of which instruction you followed. This creates a chaotic and unstable work environment where success feels less dependent on performance and more dependent on guessing which manager’s guidance will apply that day.
It is not professional to be repeatedly baselessly threatened about being let go from a job that you do exceedingly competently, and it is unacceptable that these people believe they can verbally abuse their employees.
