      Pros

      Easy going, laid back, helpful & friendly environment, good number of sick days, excellent benefits, free parking, 10 days off during Christmas and New years apart from 3 weeks of paid vacation, excellent HR & safety policies.

      Cons

      Low pay, Unsecured employment ( Frequent Lay-offs), No team building activities, no growth after a certain point, Low-Moral in the office, no communication between teams.

      Pros

      Good pay. Occasional long hours. Newer vehicles kept in decent working order. If you are not concerned with fairness or advancement based on performance, its not a bad place to work.

      Cons

      Continuously lied to by lower management. Little co-operation between divisions, to the point of antagonism. There are cliques within divisions. Expect some back stabbing. No Christmas bonuses for several years for the workers, yet management not affected. If you believe in fairness or being recognized and promoted for hard work, look elsewhere.

      Still paying for newalta's neglect

      Pros

      Great job, good benefits, home every night unlike other jobs in this industry. There is a positive outlook from management and they seem to be more open now under Terrapure then previously under newalta. I came to work and felt good about what I was doing.

      Cons

      The mistakes made by the former leaders are still being felt and were never repaired. I believe this place can grow and excell if they can change the "newalta/scanland" attitude
