Pros

- The people you work with directly. - Flexibility for start/end time, anything like doctors appointments, school pick up/drop off.

Cons

- Poor decision making from senior management. - User experience seems not to be a priority at all from engineering management. Rather, most decisions seem to be made with the aim of pleasing investors, whether it is good/bad for the user. - All software engineering work seems very poorly planned and often with major compromises that are often avoidable. - Speed of delivery is prioritised over quality. - As an engineer if you put in a lot of effort vs a little, the outcome doesn't change. - There's an expectation that as an engineer you just implement the solution from architecture/product without question. Any push back is either not received well, or the people you speak to have no power to make a change. Sometimes this goes all the way up to CTO who's decision seems to be final without question. - Progression is not based on merit, but on role availability.

A mess

Pros

- Flexible STARTING working hours - You will work with a variety of tech - Company is transparent about their finances - Company takes care of travel arrangements if you need to travel to other offices

Cons

Only work here if you have no other options. The pay/benefits are underwhelming, you are not paid overtime despite “working overtime is encouraged but not enforced” and if you’re lucky you will get a shoutout in the monthly company broadcast for “working on the weekend to meet deadlines” despite the project success criteria changing multiple times but the deadline remains unchanged. Feedback is not acted upon. Feedback/concerns was replied with explanations for why they weren't considered valid.

Pros

The people - depending on which team you are on.

Cons

Please believe everything you’ve read. Tes is a place you should work, only if you’re desperate with no other options. If you have any level of ambition AVOID AVOID AVOID! Pay is extremely poor. There are constant redundancies, and then they will force you to take on the extra workload of those teams for no extra pay (on top of an already horrible salary). Management is terrible and getting worse and worse, with a particular manager constantly speaking loudly about the people they don’t like in the office for all to hear. Some people are decent, some are not - it is largely dependent on what team you land in, as some team are worse than others. And you can forget about any type of career advancement - that only happens when everyone else on the team has quit, so they are forced to backfill positions usually at a much lower pay. Upper management continue to make horrible choices that lose the company money, and everyone else is forced to pay for it. You should expect your manager to backstab you if it means they can save the company money. This place is a disorganised disaster and I honestly cannot stress enough how terrible it is, and the high turnover is proof. Please please please believe the reviews, and beware of any recently positive reviews as the company is currently trying to ‘clean up their image’ if you know what I mean.
