Pros

Free ISTQB training & certificate Tutors were nice and helpful Made some great friends, and had an interesting talking point (sob story) for when I was eventually able to apply for jobs by myself.

Cons

Was lied to in the interview, where they told me they had "never not placed someone" on the Testing graduate scheme - 2 out of 20 were placed on my course. Was sent to interviews I didn't want to attend with a fake CV and instructed to lie on their behalf. The jobs were the opposite of the sector I'd requested, and one would have forced me to commute 2 hours each way or relocate, when I had already put down a non-refundable deposit on a new flat - which they knew about. They take a significant amount of your salary - what you get paid is fixed, but what the company you are outsourced to pays the recruiters varies on the company. They can make up to 16k a year on a job, while you only make 22k. They train you for free but then hold the threat of you owing them 12k over your head - as if the course is actually worth that, and isn't just an arbitrary number they made up. Contract that you sign is ridiculous - states you cannot enter into ANY other contract, take any extra form of employment and leaves you unable to sign on for unemployment benefits while you wait for them to find you a job. By signing you basically agree to 6 months of unemployment with no pay whatsoever.

Pros

Good office location in The City, Commission ok

Cons

Lots of people leaving the company now due to poor environment and poor Senior Management. Main sales people from the original office in Richmond have left who were the heart and sole of the business and main billers. Some Senior management that have left were dismissed poorly and without reason. This company is trying to be like an FDM (called Sparta Global) with the recruitment business on the side. Recruitment arm now only 9 people. If you are a recruitment consultant don't join Testing Circle.

Pros

Free ISTQB training and certification Good interview support Company you're placed in may be good Other test consultants tend to be good people

Cons

I would be sceptic about the positive balance and reviews you see in this page, the feedback I've received from many other employees from this company and my person experience are completely different. - The whole process is plagued with lies, hiding and misleading; they will tell you almost anything in order to get you accept the job they're offering you. They may tell you your role will involve something that in the end won't, they'll surely offer you positions miles away from London saying that they'll bring you back after 6 months then at the end of that time they'll tell you they have nothing in London and can only offer you to stay where you are or maybe relocate you somewhere else outside London. - They will make you relocate quickly and you'll have to pay all costs, all they offer you is an interest free loan that you'll have to pay back during your placement (the "loan" bit is something they don't specifiy until you sign the contract or just about you do) so basically you'll have to relocate miles away to a place you may not be particularly interested in and pay all relocation costs. - The initial placement length they tell you will probably be untrue. - They'll tell you about pay rises after a certain amount of time and then forget about them making you chase them for weeks or months until they finally grant them to you. - The consultant you have assigned will usually take your enquiries very slowly or in ocassions ignore them. - Little holiday allowance, rarely sick pay and no other benefits apart from pension scheme which all companies are bound by law to offer. If you decide to go for the graduate scheme then you won't be able to walk out in 2 years unless you pay huge amounts of money to pay for the training you've been given, so you get the training and certification for free but risk being miserable for 2 years of your life.
