Decent salary, very frustrating and bland career path
Pros
Texas farm bureau does generally take good care of its employees by providing a company vehicle for field staff. The starting salary is good. Coworkers are friendly.
Cons
While Texas Farm Bureau as a company is good, working for the insurance company is not. As a field adjuster you are responsible for auto, property, and life claims. Its very hard to stay positive in this job and the work has only gotten harder given that we have to work with public adjusters, attorneys, and have a constant threat of litigation hanging over us. Its not all the companies fault, a lot of it is that the claims adjuster job has become downright awful to do well because so many people in the public are hard to deal with. I dont recommend working for any insurance company because the field adjuster job is so hard to balance all of the work. Farm Bureau has also been super slow to specialize the auto and property adjusters, which would make life a LOT better for people. But bottom line is that insurance is just boring, find any other career path and you will be happier.
