Pros

Offered free meals. Overall friendly coworkers. Nice and prestigious hotel. Good benefits.

Cons

Banquet department is run by incompetent leadership. Heavily based on favoritism. Unfair standards that were only applied to certain people and not others. Relied heavily on temporary labor and would dump them if leadership wouldn’t “kill them”. Basically viewed employees as cattle. When issues were brought up to Banquet leadership and HR nothing was done and instead gripped down tighter on the favoritism and unfair treatment. Just whatever they can do so they don’t look bad to their bosses. Lots of butt-kissing. Leadership was too scared to stand up for their own employees. Countless hours that were taken for granted. No recognition. No thank you’s. Would only ever focus on the negatives. But in front of senior management lots of butt kissing. Whatever you have to do so the blame doesn’t fall on you and you look good. Selfish banquet leadership.
