Pros

Passionate employees who are generally interested in their clients' success. Strong teamwork across all functions - respectful communication

Cons

Ownership lacks passion for the business. This can be demotivating to those employees working hard to do whatever it takes for their clients and the organization. There is a great deal of talk about the importance of transparency and the need for open and honest communication. Unfortunately this honesty and openness is inevitably used against you. Despite the awards and accolades - there is an environment of fear and mistrust that translates to a sense of obedience when communicating to ownership, senior leadership or responding to employee surveys.

TBG Rocks!!!

Pros

I enjoy working for The Brooks Group because it is an innovative and forward-thinking company. Additionally, the culture is fun, friendly, and supportive. We have a committee called The Culture Club that comes up with different kinds of group activities to do like bowling, movie afternoon, yoga, chair massages. We also have dress up contests for spirit day and various holidays. Most importantly everyone that works at TBG works hard and is committed to doing the best job they can in their role and making sure our customers are satisfied.

Cons

While no place is perfect, I find working at TBG to be one of the best work environments I have ever experienced. If I had to give a con, it would be while we have unlimited paid time off (which is awesome) the work load is quite heavy so it is hard to take much time off. It can be hard to disconnect, but that might be more my issue than TBG's issue.

Small time, family owned business

Pros

The company has a good break room, free snacks, nice office space and good co-workers

Cons

Small, family-run businesses can be difficult. A history of mass layoffs during a bad economy. Continuous reshuffling on staff responsibilities and job titles. No real long-term plan and annual goals dont see real. Some decision are motivated by owners' personality.
