I started working for the car people in 2017 at there new 15 acer site in Warrington. Prior to joining the car people I had very little sales experience as it was mostly customer service based however the car people offer a very high level training program to bring you up to speed meaning you can deliver the brands goals -
(A hassle free experience). The company has great values and are very supportive with the staff, they even offer counciling sessions for staff who may have issues they need to talk about, there’s loads of employee perks as where apart of the Sytner group! The management team are brilliant, they have work in all areas of the buisness over the years and are now at the top of the chain having been promoted from valeters to operations managers and also handover the general sales manager! What I’m trying to say is there’s huge potential within the company to progress. Not only is it hassle free for customers, it’s hassle free for staff! I would recommend anyone who’s looking for a new challenge or considering joining the used car motor industry to join the car people. There’s huge potential to earn a comfortable salary and they promote within! There’s always treating the staff to pizza and little rewards as a way of saying thanks. I here a lot of story’sin other dealerships about sales managers being hard on the staff using bullying tactics however I can honestly say that’s not the case at the car people, John Wallworth is the sales manager who started at handover back in 2004 and has covered all area of the buisness before being promoted to GSM and he’s brilliant to work for! The operations manager (john seaman) & the general manager (Ashley Barton) are also a huge support and play a very hands on role bringing huge amounts of experience to the table. The company has brilliant values and I’d encourage anyone thinking about joining the car people to go for it!
Cons
Honestly, I have nothing bad to say, if anything, more treat days would be nice, especially pizza! 🍕
